Pricing for disposal services can vary based on volume, material, and method of delivery. Contact us to learn about pricing prior to your arrival. In addition to trash drop-off, Rumpke also offers recycling and trash collection services to area businesses and residents.

Accepted payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and checks. We do not accept cash.

About the Landfill

The Rumpke - Noble Road Landfill opened in 1997 and was purchased by Rumpke August 2009. Located in Shiloh, OH, within Richland County, this landfill is permitted to receive 6,000 tons of waste daily, currently taking in about 4,500 tons per day. The landfill is currently about 1,320 feet above sea level with a maximum height permitted of 1,447 feet above sea level. Contact us and we'll provide you with all the required pickup services needed to safely deliver waste to our landfill.

Site Features

  • Rumpke’s property is adjacent to the Fowler Woods State Nature Preserve, a 187-acre protected woodland known for its Spring wildflowers. The preserve’s boundaries are at least 1,000 feet from land permitted for waste placement.
  • The entire facility takes up approximately 430 acres of land which includes the landfill, buffer areas, wetlands, sediment ponds, physical buildings and structures, parking lots and driveways.
  • Following a recent expansion, 186 acres is permitted for waste disposal. The expanded area has capacity for 6 cells, and the third will be under construction in 2024.
  • The first landfill evaporator in Ohio was installed in 2022.
  • The evaporator can process up to 50,000 gallons a day and currently averages 30,000 gallons a day.
  • Opal constructed a gas processing plant at the site in 2022.
  • The plant takes the gas produced in the landfill and turns it into usable gas. The gas is piped to its customers and used in residential and factory locations. Currently, the plant processes over 2,300 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) a day.
