Rumpke Named to Deloitte’s 2024 Deloitte Cincinnati 100 List

Cincinnati – Nov. 19, 2024 – Rumpke Waste & Recycling ranks number 14 on the 2024 Deloitte Cincinnati 100, a ranking of the 100 leading private companies in Cincinnati. The rankings are based on annual revenue. Organizations on the list are leaders in providing jobs, resources, innovation and opportunities for the region.

About Bill Rumpke Sr.
William J. Rumpke Sr. started working in the family business at age 5, helping his father on trash collection routes. By high school graduation, he had worked as a laborer, mechanic, heavy equipment operator and driver. In 1965, Bill and his business partner, the late Thomas B. Rumpke, formed Rumpke’s commercial service line. The two cousins then purchased Rumpke from their fathers in 1978, leading the company as co-presidents and CEOs until Tom’s passing in 2004. Bill continued running the business until retiring from day-to-day management in 2014. Bill and Tom were inducted into the Waste & Recycling Industry Hall of Fame in 2009 for achievements in recycling and landfill operations.
